Set Free: Our Point of Breakthrough

STUDIO TIME

Then said Jesus to the Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)

Our focus over the past year has been on the prophetic expression of art and writing. While seeking the Lord about our upcoming studio time, He impressed upon me an Evangelistic focus, and the verse He gave was about how we overcome: "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:11)"

Begin to ask Father about what personal word of breakthrough He would like you to testify about, and how to express that creatively. It can be expressed in painting, writing, photography, or some new area you haven't yet tried - Whatever He reveals to you. DO NOT CREATE THIS UNTIL OUR MEETING, but start taking notes or making sketches, to record what He starts revealing. Let Him build on it a little each day.

Ask Him for fresh and creative ways to best convey what He shows you. Writers may end up writing poems, drama/plays, or short stories. Photographers may end up creating a short phone video. Painters may end up doing a collage, watercolor, or something else. Who knows? Please don't put a limit on it. The important part is your preparation with God in how to convey it, so you are ready when we meet.

Bring the Bible verse(s) that solidified the truth to you and brought about your breakthrough.

Questions to meditate upon:

How has God set you free? What truth from His word applied to your situation to set you free and give you a breakthrough? What did that look like in your life? How did things change? How did He take you from point 'A' (agonizing!) to point 'B' (breakthrough!! lol)? What has been the outcome of that change?

Our studio time will be Saturday morning, Feb. 16th from 10-12. It is open to all who have participated with Creative Ministry on Sunday Mornings. I know some of you are both writers and painters. Some of our young people are even dancers. Please ask God to help with your choice in what you are supposed to do (I can't do that part for you!), then prepare, and be ready to create what He has shown you when we gather.

We will have approximately 1 hour to create, so plan accordingly. Then we will spend some time sharing about our experience and what God has shown us. You will be responsible for bringing what you need to create. If you need assistance or have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out at the link below. I will have tables set up for us to work on, but you may wish to find a quiet place to pray and write, work out a dance move, or wander outside to take photos... it's all good.

Agape and Blessings,

Shell

PS there is no childcare for this event. so please don't bring small children, even though we love each and every one of them, as we will need to focus without distraction. If we have enough interest, we may look into doing something similar in Children's Ministry down the road :)
